It was a random Monday craving, so I instantaneously decided to try out Trattoria da Gianni at Crossroads, Banilad. The first glimpse of their interior brings nostalgic sense of home. Welcome to Mantayupan Falls, Barili, Cebu

Three traveling buddies went on a spur-of-the-moment daycation in Barili, a municipality located 38 miles (61 km) southwest of Cebu City. The word barili came from a local grass growing in the locality named “balili“.  During the Spanish regime, most Spaniards find it hard to say balili, therefore it was later pronounced as Barili and that’s how the place got its name. One of Barili’s primary tourist attraction is the Mantayupan Falls.

The road to the falls is already concrete, slight developments and renovations are evident mainly for our convenience but the natural essence and unspoiled environment is still well kept.
