Parilya in Il Curso is one of The Laguna Group’s babies who is living up to the company’s stamp of proven success in the food industry over the years. The dining formula at Parilya is the same with its forerunner sister Cafe Laguna (one of my top picks for Best of Cebu restaurants) which is classic comfort food with a traditional Cebuano flare. Parilya offers home-cooked style dishes specializing in seafood, grill and lechon!
The restaurant is spacious and probably the biggest tenants to date in Il Curso Mall. Beautifully situated in an urban business center of SRP, coming here will get you a glorious experience of both dining and leisure. The ocean-front vibe will put you in the relaxing mood paired with good food – definitely a great pick for family bonding. The white hue interiors make the restaurant look more appealing. I’ve been here twice (over dinner and lunch) and in both occasions, the experience has been nothing but A for Awesome. I, personally, prefer and appreciate my lunch visit for a simple reason that I enjoy the view more in daylight. 🙂Read More »
I am no connoisseur but I enjoy slurping on a good ramen broth occasionally. Ramen has become a staple in the Philippine food scene. This stellar dish’s popularity is becoming a trend that a number of ramen houses are swarming in Cebu City’s food scene. Ramen Dojo first opened its doors to Cebuanos at Robinsons Cybergate back in June of 2016. When I heard that they are opening in IT Park, which is closer to where I live, I got really excited. Finally, on February 2017, Ramen Dojo opened its second branch at The Walk, Cebu IT Park.Read More »
As a self-confessed lover of sweets, I have always regarded desserts as the star of every meal. Even on buffets, I tend to devour the sweets first before the main course. Haha! Gelatissimo gives an enchanting taste of Italy from a colorful array of ice cream flavors spread through the glass display counter in all its wonderful glory, I feel like I’m in gelato heaven. They continue to make unique flavors every now and then to complement some mainstays which add variety to their menu. Being a distinguished gelato lover, a scoop full of this smooth velvety goodie isn’t enough. It is without a doubt that Gelatissimo is still the best gelato house on this side of the city.Read More »
Howdy folks! We, Pinoys, are adventurous by nature. It’s always summer all year ’round for us. Our Camiguin Island escape was a hell of an adventure. It was one of the most hassle-free trips I’ve had because our itinerary was properly set prior to the trip and everything was placed in proper order as far as our tour and accommodation. If you’re coming from Cebu and thinking of going to Camiguin , this post could well be your ticket to help you decide which route is best for you and where to stay.
Cebu – Cagayan De Oro – Balingoan Port
We decided to be more adventurous, so we took the Cebu – CDO-Camiguin route going to our destination. We had the early morning flight to CDO. The trip was not bad, although it was not good either. I though Cebu Pac’s ATR TurboProp plane was a bit warm throughout the flight. But more importantly, we arrived safe and sound at Laguindingan International Airport so I really can’t complain.
I have always been a fan of Japanese food. I love the wonderful gastronomic adventure I get every time I visit a Japanese restaurant. Recently, I had the opportunity to try Skillet Japanese Cafe & Bistro located at Norkis Cyber Park in Mandaue. What I was about to experience was an epitome of a true “afternoon delight”. So let me tell you more about it.
Do you ever have moments when you start mindlessly checking social media posts during downtime and note down each place in your city which you have yet to visit and discover? One time, while I was slacking the day away, I went through the internet scouting for a place to explore. I came across Danasan Eco Adventure Park’s website and I became engrossed with everything they have to offer. I wanted something different for my visiting relatives (mom and brother), not just the usual sun, sand, and sea vibe. I wanted to be more in touch with nature with a bit of adventure, hence, Danasan Eco Park made it to the final cut.Read More »
A lighthouse is a venue that attracts guests and travelers who are seeking comfort and serenity overlooking vast clouds and wide sea view – always been a sight to behold. If you are looking for tranquil and relaxing ambiance that gives a nostalgic feel, then Porter Marina Yacht Club & Lighthouse is the answer. Porter Marina is a 2-storey architectural structure capped by a lighthouse. It is standing tall along a yacht club with fishing & grill house and a stunning view of the Magellan Bay. Plus, it is conveniently located within the heart of Liloan, Cebu. Last summer, my friends and I spent an entire day frolicking over fun and games, swimming and sight-seeing at the lighthouse.Read More »
