Bag of Beans, Tagaytay Ph

During our day trip to Tagaytay, we had some refreshments and light snacks at Bag of Beans. It is about a few minutes away from The Ranch. This place has coffee, various entree, salads, pasta, everyday breakfast menu and of course, desserts.

Bag of Beans has that chillax vibe with a touch of class to it. The entrance of their wooden cabin-like shop will greet you with marvelous pasalubong treats and in-house specialties.

Inside, the homey ambiance will take you give you a sense of home. The main restaurant is great for romantic dates or long talks. The walls are mostly white with elegant furnishings and is air-conditioned. I have to say this is my spot if I need to finish a report or hold a casual business meeting.

This is the enclosed restaurant for a more intimate rendezvous or a family get-together.

My favorite part in this branch of Bag of Beans is the al-fresco garden cafe. Here, you will feel close to nature, a great location to grab that fresh Tagaytay air. There are flowers, cute hanging ornaments and decorative pillow cases and sheets everywhere. It has relaxing lanay sections on the side that can accommodate a group of 6-10 people. There were about 3 or 4 of these situated right next to the white restaurant.

Yuppies prefer to stay at the garden where there are table with umbrella stand. Youngsters as well would stay in this side of the restaurant too. It is a big area where guests could let out hearty laughs, exchange chit-chats and take selfies or groufies with the garden as backdrop. There are waiters around the premise so calling out for an additional order is not a problem. The place also has bigger cottages surrounding the area including a second level restaurant beside a huge tree depicting a tree-house effect that complements well in the garden. I also saw a stage in the middle part of the garden floor; it’s probably for gatherings and events with special guests or performances and the like. I was also told that they can hold small gatherings in their air-conditioned function room. Imagine holding a baby shower or birthday party here. Nice, right?

So the next time you want to get away from the city, why not take a short visit to Bag of Beans for a cup of latté or a slice of a decadent cake from their menu. They also have other branches in Tagaytay Cavite, one is where you can get a perfect view of the Taal Lake (this I got to see) and the newest store is in Twin Lakes.
